Yves Klein and Rotraut in Lugano
Yves Klein retrospective of Klein & Rotraut Show + 22 Rotraut metal sculptures by Bruno Cora 'part of the artistic program of the Art Museum of Lugano, the exhibition dedicated to the artists Yves Klein and Rotraut Uecker has the goal of putting Focus the work of one of the protagonists of that emerged in the '60s and the association with Rotraut, artist close to him for poetic and imaginative as well as sharing 'his wife. 
The adventure of the two artists proceeds for several years on the same path, undergoing a sudden change to the untimely death of Klein in 1962: If the work of Klein will become henceforth a mythical reference to the generation European and international, to Rotraut changes slowly moving towards a plastic attitude aims to depict, with synthesis of pure forms, moods simple as universal as the joie de vivre-the-innocent creature, gambling, dancing, beauty of form.

Starting from Anthropome'tries, canvases on which are engraved the bodies of models and directed by the artist painted during actual happenings, follow the Peintures de feu, made with fire in direct contact with the canvas, the Reliefs plane'taires , canvas embossed to simulate the Earth's surface, the Monochromes made with pure pigments, among which the famous Bleu for which the artist create 'a particular shade of blue that still bears his name: IKB (International Klein Blue).
Also attending will be the Monogolds gold leaf, the Cosmogonies created by exposing the pure pigments to the effect of weathering, the famous Sculptures and e'ponges Portaits reliefs.
Films and photographs will document the actions of the artist rather a rich array of documentary will follow the stages of artistic and personal Klein. The exhibition, curated by Bruno Cora, director of the Museum of Art, in collaboration with Daniel Moquay responsible Klein Archives in Paris, will be accompanied by two catalogs in Italian and English, the one dedicated to Yves Klein, the 'Rotraut else, where, in addition to critical essays by many authors (Bruno Cora, Anna Follo, Veit Loers, Hans Möller, Pierre Restany, Jean-Michel Ribettes, Rotraut Uecker), will be played all the works exhibited.
